Perched on a hillside overlooking Oyster Bay Harbor, this project presented challenges in terms of access, house siting, and preservation of existing vegetation. The steep grade on the approach to the residence dictated the circuitous driveway layout and ultimately the house orientation. The half mile long drive winds gracefully through the laurel-filled woods setting a tone for the owners and visitors alike. Other improvements include the construction of a swimming pool, parking courts, bluestone terraces, fieldstone walls as well as a planting design to compliment the serene woodland setting.
